Why these products together
Liver detox: why take milk thistle and berberine together
After Friday couscous, a celebration or a late dinner, do you feel heavy all afternoon? Your stomach is bloated, your belt feels tighter, and you get tired after eating. You think it will pass, then the next celebration comes. And sometimes, at an ultrasound, the doctor says: “your liver is a little fatty”. Our team put these two products together for those meals.
Silymarin, the extract of milk thistle, is studied for the liver and has antioxidant properties. Berberine works on what you eat: the sugar and fat in your meals. Taken at the same meal, one supports the liver, the other helps your body handle the sugar and fat in the meal.
This bundle is based on published research. A meta-analysis tracked several liver markers on silymarin in participants whose liver carried extra fat. Two meta-analyses of clinical trials assessed berberine in the same area; our complete berberine guide walks through them. A food supplement goes alongside a better diet and medical follow-up; it does not replace them.
Separately: 120 DH (milk thistle) + 145 DH (berberine) = 265 DH. The bundle: 249 DH, one order. Steps of the course
Day one
Take both capsules midway through lunch. Within 24 hours berberine starts to work, and its effect grows day after day. Milk thistle works more slowly, over several weeks.
Day 7
The routine is set: two capsules, one meal. If you can, eat a lighter dinner: it helps your liver too.
Day 21
Take stock of how you feel after meals and of the afternoon slump.
Day 60
Time to take stock. A blood test prescribed by your doctor, before and after, remains the only way to know for sure.
Frequently asked questions
Isn’t a three-day detox enough?
No. Your liver works around the clock, so it is supported over time. That is why this bundle is taken as a course.
Can I take it during Ramadan?
Yes, at iftar or suhoor, always with the meal, never on an empty stomach.
Will the bundle make me lose weight?
That is not its promise: the bundle aims at liver comfort after meals, not the scales.
Who should ask a doctor first?
Anyone on medication, especially for blood sugar, blood thinners or immunosuppressants — berberine interacts with several medicines. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for children.
