Which vitamin or mineral should you choose?

The smart move is to start from a specific need, not from a product that promises everything. Each nutrient has a recognised role. One well-chosen capsule beats five taken at random: doses add up, and some minerals get in each other's way when swallowed together. Here is how to find your way in four situations.

For tiredness and nerves: magnesium and vitamin B12

Magnesium Glycinate (115 MAD) and MAG-COMPLEX (125 MAD) contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the normal functioning of the nervous system. The whole range is gathered in our Magnesium collection. Vitamin B12 (115 MAD) matters most for people who eat little meat, fish or eggs: it is found almost only in foods of animal origin.

For winter defences: vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc

Vitamin C (95 MAD), zinc (115 MAD) and Vitamin D3 & K2 (130 MAD) contribute to the normal function of the immune system. In Morocco, sunshine is not always enough: indoor jobs, covered skin, going out late in the day. Yet vitamin D is made mainly in the skin, in the sun.

For bones: vitamin D, vitamin K and magnesium

Vitamin D and vitamin K contribute to the maintenance of normal bones, and so does magnesium. The Immunity & Bone Bundle (229 MAD) brings all three together in a single order.

For hair and nails: biotin, zinc and selenium

Biotin (125 MAD) contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and skin. Brewer's Yeast, Selenium & Zinc (130 MAD) adds selenium, which contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and nails.

To go further, read our guides on vitamin D3 and K2, vitamin B12 deficiency and the forms of magnesium.

Frequently asked questions

It is the best way to know what you really lack, especially for iron, vitamin D and B12. For magnesium, a blood test reflects the body's stores poorly, so everyday signs such as cramps or edginess are a better guide.

Yes, as long as they don't provide the same nutrient twice. Read the labels, add up the doses and stay within the amounts shown. Zinc and iron are best taken at different times of day.

Vitamins D and K with a meal that contains a little fat, as they are absorbed better that way. B vitamins and vitamin C in the morning. Magnesium in the evening.

Usually two to three months, the time it takes to rebuild your stores. After that, take a break or a maintenance dose depending on your needs and the season.

No. Your plate comes first. Supplements fill a short-term gap: winter, a busy period, a limited diet or a meat-free diet.
